Fraternity & Sorority Membership Policy

Criteria for Membership  

Washington State University Fraternity and Sorority Life requires that a potential new member, initiate, or candidate for membership be a matriculated undergraduate student at the University. Additional requirements are as follows: 

  1. Must be a WSU Pullman Undergraduate student
  2. Must be a currently enrolled WSU Pullman Campus Student 
  3. Cannot be a Running Start student or any other auxiliary services student.  
  4. To serve as an elected officer of a registered student organization, a student must not be on academic or behavioral probation with the university.
  5. The above provisions are in addition to all requirements as established by WAC 504-28-010: 

Additional membership requirements are governed by the individual fraternity and sorority chapters. Washington State University respects the right of the recognized fraternity and sorority chapters to select its membership as outlined in its membership procedures, so long as these procedures do not violate state and federal discrimination laws.
